Grand Success by Ms. Ammaji Rajitha, PhD Scholar, DLIS CUTN

Dear All, 

We are delighted to inform you that Ms. Ammaji Rajitha, Ph.D. Scholar of the Department has been selected and joined the post of Assistant Librarian at Central Library, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod. She is the first student in the Department who has achieved a permanent post in the Government sector. She is an alumnus (2017-2019 batch) of the Department and completed her M.Lib.I.Sc. degree in 2019. She has cleared the UGC-NET examinations also.

Department congrats to her on this great achievement and shower blessings for future endeavours.

Celebration of Tamil New Year & Vishu 2023@DLIS CUTN

Dear All,  

This is to inform you that students, research scholars, non-teaching staff, and teachers of the Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu celebrated the Tamil New Year "Puthandu Vazthukal" and Malayalam New Year "Vishu" in the Department on 17.04.2023. All the students, scholars, and staff members enjoyed the festival with the distribution of traditional sweets and other items. Dear All,  

This is to inform you that Dr. Akhandanand Shukla, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Library & Information Science, CUTN has participated and co-chaired the session in 4 days International Conference on Academic Libraries (ICAL 2023) organized by the Delhi University Library System, University of Delhi on 5th - 8th April 2023. He successfully participated and took part in the discussion on his joint paper (with Ms. Komal Sahu & Mr. Praveen Kumar) on the topic "Curriculum Development and Learning in Library and Information Science (LIS): A Review" and "Exploring the Roles and Responsibilities of School Librarians in Indian Context" respectively. Besides his participation in the International Conference, he served as co-chair of one session during the Internation Conference.

This is to inform you that the Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu web-casted the Post Budget Webinar on Skill & Education addressed by Hon'ble PM Sri Narendra Modi in the Smart Classroom at 10:00 AM on 25th February 2023.
