Parent-Teacher Interface with 3rd Semester MLIS Students

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur has organised Parent-Teacher Interface with 3rd Semester MLIS students on 9th October, 2021 at 3:00PM - 04:00 PM. The purpose of the interface was to inform about Department related curricular activities and facilities as well as to get the feedback to improve upon existing activities/facilities and initiation of new activities for the betterment of Department and students. At the outset, Dr. Akhandanand Shukla, Head of the Department, welcomed all the teachers, parents, and students in the meeting. Prof. S. Ravi informed the genesis, achievements, facilities, and activities of the Department to all the students and their parents. Further he informed the parents about availability of teaching tools like DDC (23rd Ed.), UDC, Computer Laboratory, Department Library, LCD Projector, and Wi-Fi in the Department. Thereafter faculty members Dr. Taddi Murali, Dr. K. G. Sudhier, Dr. Anila Sulochana, and Dr. V. K. Dhanyasree expressed their feelings with parents regarding academic progress and achievement of students. Dr. Akhandanand Shukla highlighted the special activities like Anveshan, Gyan Pravah, UGC-NET Coaching, Internship, and Students Seminar started by the Department for the benefit of students. Further he informed the parents about framing of new MLIS syllabus in tuned with OBE and NEP. Parents expressed their happiness and satisfaction with the course and department at present and shared their concern to the Department also. Dr. Akhandanand Shukla, Associate Professor & Head, DLIS, CUTN coordinated the wonderful and interactive interface with parents.

The Parent-Teacher Interface ended with the thanks to all faculties, parents and students.
