Au Revoir 2020 for MLIS 4th Semester Students

Dear All,

This is to inform you all that 3rd Semester MLIS students are organising a farewell function (Au Revoir) to final year MLIS students on 29th August, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Prof. S. Ravi, Head of Department will be delivering inaugural speech followed by cultural events by 3rd semester MLIS students. Vote of Thanks will be proposed by Kibrom Yemane Tekeste, 3rd semester MLIS student.

Padmashree Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's 128th Birth Anniversary Celebration on 12th August, 2020

This is to inform you that Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur has organised Librarians' Day Celebration on the occasion of Padmashree Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's 128th birth anniversary on 12th August, 2020 at 11:00 AM. On the occasion, Department has invited Prof. A. R. D. Prasad, Former Head, DRTC, ISI, Bangalore as a special guest to deliver the theme talk "What is Living and What is Dead of Ranganathan's Contributions?" on YouTube Live.

Prof. S. Ravi, Head of the Department and Dean, School of Communication, CUTN has delivered the welcome address followed by theme talk by Prof. A. R. D. Prasad. A formal vote of thank has been proposed by Dr. Akhandanand Shukla. The function was organised by Dr. T. Murali, Dr. K. G. Sudhier, Dr. Anila Sulochana, and Dr. V. K. Dhanyasree.

Commencement of Semester Exam of 4th Semester MLIS

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur has planned to start examination for 4th semester MLIS students from 17th August, 2020 as per the latest UGC Guidelines. The examinations will be held during the period of 17th August - 21st August, 2020. All 4th Semester MLIS students are advised to prepare for the exams well in advance. Exam schedule will be shared to all students through Whatsapp/Email.
