Celebration of Holi Festival 2026@DLIS CUTN

Dear All,

This is to inform you that students, research scholars, and teachers of the Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu celebrated the "Holi" festival in the Department on 06.03.2026. All the students, scholars and staff members enjoyed the festival with playing of color and the distribution of sweets. A glimpse of the festival is given here:

ICSSR Research Project Awarded to Dr. S. Ravikumar

Dear All, 

We are delighted to inform you that Dr. S. Ravikumar, Associate Professor, Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, has been awarded a research project titled “Preservation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems through Decolonised Digital Archiving: A Community-Based Framework for PVTGs in Tamil Nadu with Special Reference to the Irular Community of Tamil Nadu” by ICSSR, New Delhi, under the scheme “Multi-Disciplinary Studies on Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in India (2025–26).”

Dr. K. G. Sudhier re-elected as Vice-President, IASLIC, Kolkata

Job Achievement by Ms. C. T. Vasthalya

Dear All, 

We are pleased to inform you that Ms. Chandrasekhar Thirumala Vasthalya, a graduate of the MLIS program (2023-2025 batch) and an alumnus of the Department of Library & Information Science at Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, has been appointed as a Junior Library Executive at the Central Library, Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IITTP).
