Direct Admission to M. Lib.& I. Sc.@DLIS, CUTN through Open Counselling

Dear All, 

This is to inform you that Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur offers spot admission to 2-year integrated Master of Library & Information Science (M. Lib. & I. Sc.) for the academic year 2025-2026. Graduates of any discipline fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria may apply. Interested and eligible candidates may express their willingness through the Google Form Link https://forms.gle/ggYTZzKZ6iQV8NeLA on or before 13.07.2025. Candidates qualified in CUET(PG)-25 Entrance for subject codes COQP11 & COQP13 are also eligible and shall be exempted from entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria: Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks for General Category, 45% marks OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 40% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level.

Registration Fee: Candidates willing to take admission shall have to register/submit their interest in admission into the course and need to pay the Registration Fee as prescribed below:

Rs. 700/- (GEN) and Rs. 600/- (OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / Third Gender & PWD).

The fee shall be paid under “CUTN Admission AY 2025-26” in SBI Collect Portal (https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm). The payment process can be seen by SBI Collect User Manual annexed herewith.

Note: There shall be online entrance exam conducted by the Department on 15.07.2025 and intimation regarding time shall be notified individually. The entrance exam will comprise of MCQs from the following discipline i.e., English Language Skill, Numerical Aptitude/ Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, General Knowledge etc. Entrance Examination result shall be declared on 15.07.2025 and selected candidates have to take admission within stipulated time by paying the prescribed fee for the program.

Steps to pay through SBI Collect for Entrance Examination Fee
  • Click on https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm
  • Select Category: Educational Institutions
  • Search Educational Institutions Name: Central University of TamilNadu
  • Select Payment Category: New Admission AY 2025-26
  • Select Department: Library and Information Science
  • Select Type of Program: M Lib I Sc
  • Please fill other mandatory columns like Entrance Exam/CUET ID, Name, Gender, DOB, Mobile No., Email Id etc.
  • Please fill Entrance Registration Fee Amount: Rs. 700 / 600 and fill Remarks Column like “M Lib I Sc Registration Fee.”
  • Fill the amount Zero “0” in the columns of Semester Fee, Caution Deposit, Alumni Fee, Uniform Fee etc.
  • Please fill other mandatory columns for banking purposes by providing your Individual Details.
  • Click on ‘Next’ button.
  • After verifying your filled credentials, click on ‘Next’ button.
  • Choose the payment gateways: Net Banking / Credit Card or Other Payment Modes
  • Submit your payment gateway related details and go for payment.
  • Download your Payment Receipt and note down Payment Reference Number.
  • Upload the payment receipt along with registration form through the Google Form: https://forms.gle/ggYTZzKZ6iQV8NeLA.
