National Conference on Redefining Librarianship in the AI Technological Era: Innovations, Challenges and Opportunities (ReLAITE-2025)

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Library & Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, is organizing a National Conference on Redefining Librarianship in the AI Technological Era: Innovations, Challenges, and Opportunities (ReLAITE-2025) on 20th-21st March 2025. 

ReLAITE-2025 offers an excellent opportunity for information professionals and researchers to share their experiences and enhance their expertise. The conference will focus on the latest trends and advancements in AI-driven innovations within the field of librarianship. With carefully curated themes and sub-themes, the conference will address various facets of AI and related technologies, exploring their implications for library services. This event will serve as a dynamic platform for academics and practitioners from across the country to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and explore the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in redefining library services and practices. 

ReLAITE-2025 invites research papers on the following themes and sub-themes:

Theme: Redefining Librarianship in the AI Technological Era: Innovations, Challenges, and Opportunities

Sub-themes:

• Libraries and Artificial Intelligence
• Redefining the Role of Libraries in the AI Era
• Libraries’ Role in Serving Society
• Research Productivity & Information Management Systems
• Emerging Technologies in Library Services
• Knowledge Management (KM) in the AI Era
• Libraries’ Role in Teaching, Learning, and Research

The full paper (in Word format, including an abstract of no more than 200 words and at least five keywords) should be submitted as an email attachment to relaite2025@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting full papers is 28th February 2025, and the last date for registration is 12th March 2025.

Students & Faculty Participated in the Book Exhibition 2025

Dear All, 

We are pleased to inform you that the students, research scholars, and faculty members of the department participated in the Book Exhibition 2025, organized by Chozha Central Library, Central University of Tamil Nadu, on February 10th-11th, 2025, at the 2nd floor of the Central Library Building. Around 10 publishers/book suppliers participated in the two-day exhibition, where students, scholars, and faculty members explored and recommended suitable books for the Chozha Central Library, CUTN.

Celebration of Samathuva Pongal 2025@CUTN

Dear All, 

This is to inform you that students, research scholars, non-teaching staff, and teachers of the Department of Library and Information Science, Central University of Tamil Nadu participated in the "Samathuva Pongal Celebration 2025" organized by Central University of Tamil Nadu at Multipurpose Hall on 31.01.2025. Job Achievement of Mr. Emil Jose

We are pleased to inform you that Mr. Emil Jose, a graduate of the MLIS program (2022-2024 batch) and an alumnus of the Department of Library & Information Science at Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, has been appointed as a Library Trainee at the Library of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH).
